A LEGACY FORGED IN FIRE

"In the bush, you learn what matters. Good biltong, sharp wit, and a trusty rifle. Everything else is luxury."

- Eric Rhodes Buller Hof

A Story of Survival

From the hostile African bush to your table:
a 200-year journey of survival, tradition, and authentic flavor

In the 1820s, during the tumultuous frontier days of South Africa, our great-great-grandfather carved out a legendary reputation as an adventurer, scout, and soldier. He was a man who faced the most unforgiving landscapes Africa had to offer - the harsh, hostile bush where few dared to venture.

For weeks at a time, he would disappear into the wilderness on reconnaissance missions and expeditions. His survival depended on three things: his biltong, his wit and his rifle. The biltong wasn't just food - it was life itself. Lightweight, nutritious, long-lasting, and packed with the protein and energy needed to survive in impossible conditions.

Through years of trial, error, and perfection, he developed a recipe that would become legendary. A perfect balance of spices, curing technique, and drying method that produced biltong unlike any other. This wasn't just a snack - it was survival food elevated to an art form.
